Jubilee Insurance scoops General Insurer of the Year Award

Jubilee Insurance was on Sunday awarded as the General Insurer of the year during this year’s Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) Awards.

Jubilee’s Nelson Nderitu was picked as the General Insurance Agent of the year with the highest number of policies while Jayshee Haria, also from Jubilee, won the persistency award as the agent who has maintained at least 75 per cent life insurance customers for three years and above.

Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Julius Kipng’etich, Jubilee Insurance Regional Chief Executive Officer noted that the win highlights the firm’s deliberate investment in strategic areas in order to provide value to its customers and partners.

“This is an important recognition that will go a long way in driving our vision of continue to being the leading insurer,” Dr. Julius noted.

The awards which seeks to recognize the efforts of insurers in delivering efficient insurance and financial services to its customers saw Jubilee Insurance also take 3rd place in the Life Insurance category.

The annual awards were organized under the theme “Customer First” was aimed at celebrating top performing insurance sales agents and companies for the year ended 2018. A total of 425 insurance agents were able to be recognized as qualifying agents having moved over Kshs. 1.8Bn in premiums last year.

Kenya’s insurance penetration has also dropped to 2.71 per cent, a factor that has led to the industry’s slow growth.
