Mr. Patrick Nyaga has been appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of CIC Insurance with effect from 22nd June 2020. His career spans over twenty eight years. He has worked in Kenya and regionally with various blue chip companies: Barclays Bank (ABSA), KPMG and lately the Co-operative Bank Group as the Group Finance and Strategy Director. His appointment has been approved by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
While making this announcement, Mr. Japheth Magomere, the Group Chairman of CIC Insurance Group noted that Mr. Nyaga has key strengths including great links and experience with the co-operative movement. This will come in handy for his new work station because the co-operative movement is CIC’s core and primary market segment as well as the core shareholder base.
Mr. Nyaga is also in a vantage position to replicate the broad globally acclaimed new performance drivers in operational efficiency with huge cost savings, sales force efficiencies, performance based reward structures , data analytics and digitization that he has been driving over the years at the Co-operative Bank Group. He also has a rich track record in championing strategy, broad experience in operational efficiency and diverse leadership experience that will be of great benefit to CIC Insurance Group.
