The new branches are part of the final stages of NCBA’s five-year branch expansion strategy
NCBA Bank has officially launched two new branches in Limuru and Githunguri. This brings the total number of branches in Kiambu County to seven. The expansion reflects the Group’s commitment to serve the residents of this region better, providing them with innovative financial solutions and greater convenience.
The new facilities will provide a comprehensive range of financial products and solutions, including current and savings accounts , mobile banking, pay bills, money market investments, fixed deposits and wealth management among others, through their lending and trading platforms.
Customers can also access asset financing, mortgage solutions, business loans, and digital banking support. These services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of farmers, entrepreneurs, and individuals, empowering them to achieve their financial goals effectively and conveniently.
While releasing the 2024 first half results, Mr. Gachora, NCBA Group CEO said that currently, 87% of the lender’s transactions are digital. Despite achieving this milestone, the lender is also keen on strengthening its brick and mortar delivery channel, in a bid to get closer to its customers and enhance their experience. “These new branches underscore our dedication to supporting communities where agriculture, land development, and small businesses thrive,” said NCBA Group director for retail banking, Mr. Tirus Mwithiga at the launch. “ Our presence in Limuru and Githunguri reinforces our promise to bring world-class banking services closer to our customers,” he added.

Financial inclusion
NCBA continues to prioritise financial inclusion by ensuring that banking services are accessible to all, regardless of location. The bank remains committed to delivering excellent customer experience, understanding local needs, and offering innovative solutions.
NCBA also donated four hundred seedlings to Limuru Children’s Centre, Ciiko Primary School and various customers, reaffirming its sustainability commitments that were launched in 2023.
In a bold move, NCBA is supporting its customers by eliminating monthly maintenance fees. This strategy is set to bolster the bank’s retail banking presence. Additionally, it will enhance affordability while delivering customer-centric financial solutions.
The Limuru branch is located at Mumbi House, Limuru town, while the Githunguri branch is located at The K Unity building, Githunguri town. According to a survey that was recently carried by the bank, the Limuru branch is mainly supporting agriculture and transport sectors. The Githunguri branch on the other hand is mainly offering business and personal loans products.
