In line with its strategic goal to grow from a tier three to a tier one  bank,  Kingdom Bank   has  opened  a fully-fledged     branch  at  Wabera  Street,  in  Nairobi’s  central business  district ( CBD).  This development   reaffirms    the  lender’s   commitment to providing accessible, relationship-driven banking solutions to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises ( MSMEs), traders, and retail customers.  Significantly,  this  becomes   the  bank’s   thirtieth  branch  nationwide, reflecting  its continued channel strategy of locating services within vibrant commercial centres.

Located in the heart of Nairobi’s bustling commercial district,  the  new  branch places  Kingdom  Bank at the centre  of one of Kenya’s most vibrant trading and service ecosystems. The area serves thousands of businesses ranging from wholesale and retail traders, professional service firms, catering and hospitality outlets, as well  as    importers and distributors who require responsive banking solutions.

The promise

Besides  deposits and withdrawal,  the branch will offer customers  a suite of products  and  services including: loans, investment, payment and insurance solutions.  Additionally, it will offer  them  non-financial services aimed at building their   capacity so that they can be more productive in their respective ventures.  “ Our aim is to be more than a transactional bank by partnering with all our customers in order to grow with them,” said Mr. Anthony  Mburu,  the Managing Director and  Chief Executive  Officer   of Kingdom Bank, during the launch.

Mr. Mburu    made a  commitment    that the bank will continue offering MSMEs – a key pillar of its growth strategy – easier and more secure digital payment solutions ,   access to more capital through its business finance solutions  as well as   non-financial solutions that will equip them with the knowledge and skills to grow, formalize and scale with confidence.

In the same vein, he   said that the bank is committed to supporting individual customers to access  credit so that they can achieve their personal goals ,  while  large organizations  will be supported with tailored  solutions that will enhance their liquidity, hence  enabling   them to trade with ease and pursue business opportunities confidently.

As a way of giving back to the community, the branch will offer secondary school scholarships every year to a bright   boy and girl from a needy background.  It will also   be engaged in tree growing among other eco-friendly community drives.

New core banking system

The launch  of the  new  branch  coincides with the recent  rollout   of the bank’s new core banking system.   “The successful rollout of our new core banking system has laid the foundation for a more agile and innovative Kingdom Bank. As we open our doors on Wabera Street, we are not only bringing banking services closer to our customers,  but also providing them with enhanced banking experience powered by the most modern banking technology,”  said  Mr. Mburu.   “ This investment enables us to serve our customers better through faster transactions, improved digital capabilities, and personalized financial solutions that support business growth and financial success,” he added.

Kingdom Bank continues to grow on two fronts – a physical network that is bringing it closer to customers and a banking experience that enables it to serve them more efficiently and effectively.  The lender is set to launch its thirty first branch in Ruiru town, by the end of this year.
