Kenyaâs oldest financial institution Postbank, has partnered with Suntra Investment bank , a key player in the circles of the Nairobi Securities Exchange as part of a bigger plan by the two institutions to spread their wings.
The financial solution will see Suntra Investment bank customers buy and sell shares via all the 99 Postbank outlets countrywide.
Speaking during the launch Postbank managing director Ms Ann Karanja said the financial solution will revolutionize traditional banking and facilitate its investment options for Kenyans.
In attendance was the CEO of Suntra Investment Bank, Mr. Luke Kinoti and the chairman, Mr. Nguru Wachira, among others.
The landmark partnership will go a long way in enhancing financial inclusion in support of Kenyaâs development blue print, vision 2030.
It is also expected to see a number of customers benefit from convenient, fast and efficient services. To improve on efficiency, Suntra will connect Postbank to its online real-time agency module of the core operating software system.
Suntra Investment bank customers will access seamless banking services such as sale and buying of shares, shares application and access to statements through the shared infrastructure.
The partnership will also provide an opportunity for Postbankâs customers to access security exchange related investment services at the comfort of their branches.
Postbank has met the Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) principles, the only existing standard in the world for financial products that is designed specifically for young customers. It is developed by key industry players.
