NCBA Bank this week hosted customers from their Eastleigh branch located in Business Bay Mall for a business engagement forum. The objective of the forum was to foster closer relationships with the customers.
The branch was opened last year in June, and has experienced a remarkable onboarding traction, with a current customer base of 1,100 – individuals and businesses. The bank has also registered increased performance in forex revenue, achieving monthly revenue of Kshs. 19 million. This is a significant improvement from last year’s Kshs. 30 million within six months of opening.
Connecting with customers
Speaking at the event, NCBA Group Managing Director, Mr. John Gachora said, “I am honoured to be visiting our branch at BBS Mall today. Serving an average of 3,000 customers per month, the branch has actively improved transaction volumes, reaching Kshs. 1.5 billion Monthly. Notably the bank has attracted new-to-bank customers, after its establishment in the area.

Asset financing
In terms of lending, NCBA Bank has disbursed loans totaling Kshs. 50 million, primarily focusing on asset finance to support various sectors of the economy. “The NCBA Eastleigh branch opening aligned perfectly with our collective goal to foster an environment where businesses can thrive, create jobs, and ultimately bolster our economy. Additionally, it is important to note that Eastleigh contributes nearly 35% of the revenues of Nairobi County, underscoring the importance of this community in driving the economy of this county and the country at large,” said Hon. Since last year, NCBA Eastleigh branch has established itself as a key market area in the realms of asset finance and forex trading. The bank offers significantly affordable trading opportunities compared to other lenders in the mall, reaffirming its commitment to facilitating economic growth and development. The branch is strategically located on the second floor in Business Bay Mall, along General Waruinge Street in Kamukunji constituency.
