Mentor Sacco has launched a full-fledged branch at Ithanga, (Kaguku town centre), Murang´a County. Previously it was a satellite branch. The new branch will offer front office services activities (FOSA) to the residents of Ithanga and its environs includingꓽ professionals, business community and farmers. This development is a strategic move because it is the only major banking facility in the area. Previously, the residents were travelling all the way to Murang´a and Thika towns in order to access banking services.
The other full fledged branches of Mentor Sacco are located inꓽ Muranga, Thika, Kenol and Ngara (Nairobi). It also operates satellite branches in Kangema, kiria‐ini, Kangari and Kandara. Through its mobile banking technology that is branded Mentor Quick cash, members can conveniently make various transactions includingꓽ savings, borrowing and payments.
As a demonstration of the confidence that the residents have in Mentor Sacco, many of them opened accounts immediately after the new branch was officially opened by Mr. Joseph Mbai, CEC, Health and Sanitation, Murang´a County.
