In line with this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations, WIFA (Women in Film Awards) recognized outstanding women in film and media. The event commenced with a glamorous look to lighten up the whole set up. Charlene Ruto the designated guest among others stepped in to support her fellow women.
After a bite session that the guests were offered, the event proceeded. As a form of entertainment, soft but soothing music played from the background to set the whole mood as people from different walks of life networked.
At exactly 9:30pm, various artists showcased their talent. They included the renowned content creator Azziad Nasenya who also won an award.
The whole set up was designed to celebrate women, embrace their talent in media and acknowledge their resilience in the tough field that has traditionally been dominated by men. Participants left the venue in the wee hours of the morning with wide smiles as they tagged along their gifts as a sign of victory.
