MERU HERE WE COME: KINGDOM BANK LAUNCHES A BRANCH IN MERU

Lender on an ambitious expansion drive that is endearing it to its target market – micro, small and medium enterprises

The highlights:

In  line  with  its  current  expansion  drive,  Kingdom Bank has launched  its twenty  second  branch   in Meru town at Ntima building along Tom Mboya Street. This is the third branch  to  be launched by  the bank  in  2024.  Earlier in the year, the lender which is a subsidiary of Cooperative Bank of Kenya unveiled  two branches  –  in the  vast  Nairobi’s   Gikomba market  and Kitale town.

The  latest  branch   is aimed at supporting the dynamic agricultural community in Meru and its environs.  By and  large,  it will  provide tailored financial solutions to foster local business growth and development.

Banking solutions

Positioned  as  a niche bank for  micro, small  and  medium  enterprises ( MSMEs),   Kingdom Bank is dedicated to empowering the  dynamic  market segment   through innovative and customized banking solutions. The  Meru branch is set to offer a comprehensive and  innovative range of products  and   services. Among them is the advanced digital banking platforms designed to meet the unique needs of local businesses, agricultural enterprises as well as professionals.

Speaking  during  the launch  of  the branch, Mr. Anthony Mburu, Kingdom Bank’s managing director and CEO, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are very excited to open our doors for business in the great county of Meru that is renowned for very productive agriculture and the business acumen of its people.” He  further said  that the lender  has embarked on an ambitious expansion programme that will see  it  launch more branches across various counties in Kenya.  This  is  in a bid to serve its  customers more efficiently and effectively.

Significant  boost

On his part, Mr. Godfrey Mburia,  a  director of   Cooperative Bank of Kenya warmly welcomed Kingdom Bank to the region. “We are honoured to have Kingdom Bank join our community. Their presence is a significant boost for our local farmers and entrepreneurs who are vital to  the  growth  of   our economy,” he said.

Mr. Mburia   was upbeat  that  Kingdom Bank  will  forge  a   strong partnership with  Meru county  that  will   drive sustained development and prosperity in the region.
