Equity Group Awarded As The Best Bank At The 2019 Think Business Awards.

Equity Bank has yet again claimed its place as market leader after emerging ‘Overall Best Bank in Kenya’ at this year’s Think Business Banking Awards.

Equity won in sustainable corporate responsibility, mobile banking, small and medium enterprises (SME) banking. It also won in the digital banking category and was best in agriculture and livestock financing.

Barclays Bank of Kenya was also named as the best lender when it comes to asset financing while ABC Bank was awarded as the best bank as a lender with the lowest charges for individuals.

In mortgage financing, Stanbic Bank emerged the best compared to other competitors.

Credit bank, which is a privately-owned financial institution in Kenya emerged as the best bank in its category, Tier III and the second runners up in the Small and Medium Enterprises Category.

The financial institution reported having won as a result of the bank’s commitment to meet its customers’ needs first.

“The Inspiration comes from the driving force and that is our customers they are at the core of our very existence. Our financial solutions are built around problems many businesses face in the market. Further, these solutions are targeted at transforming the society in which we all operate in. Those that benefit from using our services go on to benefit others as well,” it said.

Head of Business Banking and Marketing Credit Bank Pamela Mutembei said the awards serve as a good platform to also help the banks improve in their different service areas.

“Our recent accolade from Think Business awards fuel to the fire. It is an encouragement to us to go on working hard to and be persistent and determined to take the Bank to the next level,” she said.

Sumak Micro Finance bank was named the best microfinance bank in livestock and agriculture financing.

Maisha MicroFinance Bank won in the product innovation category for micro-financiers.
