A RETIRED ADMIRAL’S BOOK IS A MODERN AESOP’S FABLES ON LEADERSHIP

Last year Mike Studeman retired as a two-star admiral after thirty five storied years in the U.S. Navy. Now, he is sharing his decades of knowledge in key leadership assignments leading large national security organizations. He wrote a leadership book after poll after poll showed how few American workers trust their leaders. Most citizens believe both government and corporate America face a deep and pervasive leadership crisis.

In his new book called Might of the Chain: Forging Leaders of Iron Integrity, Studeman   reminds us that we are only as strong as our weakest link. He underscores the criticality of finding ways to work together, restore trust and elevate team performance to do the heavy lifting of our times. Might of the Chain distills over three decades of leadership experience into a treasury of colourful, never-heard-before stories that unveil the secrets of how to lead well in any role and under any condition. A beautifully written page-turner, the book highlights dozens of leadership traits and illustrates how they work in practice.

Leadership qualities

As Studeman states : “The emphasis is on developing, nurturing and sustaining pressure-tested leadership qualities that lead to high morale, maximum performance, exceptional outcomes and lasting success. “    While the book adds distinctive breadth and depth to any study of leadership, it also provides unique glimpses into the world of intelligence, national security decision-making and world-shaking events from the Cold War to today. It is therefore no wonder that the book has been enthusiastically endorsed by the likes of Dr. Henry Kissinger, Robert Gates and Jim Stavridis.

Might of the Chain offers fresh leadership insights with universal application across any organization. The book holds appeal for those in business and government hoping to enhance trust, strengthen team integrity and achieve better results. Loaded with quotable quotes and highly motivating, Might of the Chain also serves as an indispensable resource for students and young professionals eager to elevate their lives and the world around them.
