ANDREW KIBE: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF THE MIND

Andrew Kibe is a passionate facilitator  whose mission goes far beyond financial literacy. During the  Mentor Sacco  members’ education, information, and training day held in Limuru, Kibe led a bold and insightful session aimed at helping members rethink their approach to life, starting with the power of their own minds.

Identity as the Foundation

Kibe began with a profound truth: understanding oneself is the first step towards  transformation. Drawing from biblical teachings, he reminded members that human beings are made in the image and likeness of God, the ultimate creator. “God created heaven and earth, which makes him a creator. If we are created in his image, then we too are creators,” he explained.

This understanding, he argued, is key to unlocking one’s potential. Our words and thoughts mould our reality, if we think small, we become small. Just as creation began with a thought and speech, so too do our ideas and plans require clarity and intentionality to become reality.

Rewiring the mind

Kibe’s   presentation  delved deep into the mechanics of the mind, specifically the dynamics  between the conscious and subconscious. While the conscious mind governs daily decisions, it is the subconscious, controlling over 95% of our behaviour, that truly shapes our lives. The problem is not out there. The problem is always within us,” he stated.

Many members, he noted, dwell on what they lack, unintentionally attracting more of it into their lives. Instead, he challenged  them   to reprogramme  their thinking, focusing on possibility, growth, and abundance.

“Once you begin to think about wealth,” he explained, “you move your mindset from poverty to prosperity—and your life starts aligning with that mindset.”

Understanding the  cash flow quadrant

To ground his teaching in financial strategy,  Kibe made a presentation on  the  cash flow quadrant, outlining four primary income categories:

  • E – Employment
  • S – Small Business
  • B – Big Business
  • I – Investment

He highlighted how most people are conditioned from a young age to seek employment, exchanging time for money. However, true financial freedom is found in the B and I  sections of the cash flow quadrant, where money works for you.“The first step is to envision a big business or investment,” he advised. “Then tap into the Sacco to begin saving and borrowing strategically.”

Through Mentor Sacco, members can access financial tools that support meaningful, income-generating projects. The goal is to channel borrowed funds into cash-flowing assets (investments that generate returns and help repay the loan). Kibe encouraged members to have a  target  of  establishing  at least one cash-flowing asset each year  and then  gradually build their financial independence.

A shift in mindset is a  shift in destiny

More than just a lecture, Kibe’s session was  an awakening call to the  members, a moment of reflection and realization. He dismantled the myth that one’s financial future is controlled by external forces like salary scales, the economy, or chance. Instead, he  was  emphatic  that success is shaped by daily decisions, intentional thinking, and the willingness to grow.

Inspiring, practical, and empowering,  Kibe  reminded  the members  that real transformation begins from  within. With the right mindset, and the right partner  like Mentor Sacco, anyone can shift from survival to stability, and ultimately, prosperity.
