Majid Al Futtaim, a leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, has launched its loyalty programme across all its Carrefour stores in Kenya.
The MyCLUB, programme as it’s known, is popular in several markets. It is fully digital and accessible through the Carrefour Kenya App, allowing users to collect points based on their purchases at the stores. For every Ksh.100 they spend, customers receive 2.5 points in return, while they also stand to gain additional points based on selected promotional items. Upon collecting 10,000 points, customers can either choose to redeem them instantly towards their bill, or continue to accumulate points for a larger reward at a later time.
Customers can sign up for the programme by downloading the Carrefour Kenya App free of charge from Google Play and the App Store. Each registered customer will be provided with a unique barcode within the app, which is scanned during checkout to earn points and avail discounts. Through the App, customers will also have access to their digital receipts, regular updates, as well as information on upcoming offers.
Commenting on the introduction of MyCLUB, Franck Moreau, the country manager of Carrefour in Kenya and Uganda at Majid Al Futtaim Retail said: “The launch of MyCLUB demonstrates our commitment to our customers in Kenya, we value their loyalty and encourage them to sign up so that they gain even more from shopping at Carrefour.”
The move comes in response to changing consumer preferences for a more personalized approach while also tapping into the new digital shift in the retail space. Carrefour will also use MyCLUB programme to improve its knowledge about customers so that the retailer can continue to deliver seamless experiences for them.
