Leading state corporation   supports the putting up of   Kenyatta National Hospital’s paediatrics care services waiting bay

By George Gichuki

The Postal Corporation of Kenya (Posta Kenya) has continued to plough part of its earnings back to the community by funding various projects and community based activities as a way of interacting with, and passing on accrued benefits to the society it thrives in.

In line with this, the corporation recently sponsored the construction of a waiting bay at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) paediatrics section. This was informed by the need to decongest the paediatric care services waiting bay at KNH by creating adequate space for patients and guardians seeking health services from the largest referral hospital in Eastern and Central Africa.

Human face

Posta Kenya’s mission is to provide innovative communication, distribution and financial solutions to Kenyans and create value to stakeholders. In addition to the provision of these services, the corporation believes in enriching the lives of the community. The CSR activities also benefit its operations, fostering a better environment and creating new markets that can grow sustainably.

During the official launch of the paediatrics waiting bay, the Postmaster General, Mr. Dan Kagwe noted with appreciation the need for a symbiotic relationship with all stakeholders and urged the KNH fraternity to support the corporation in its business endeavours.

Posta Kenya strives in touching people’s lives by engaging in CSR programmes that have a human face. To that end, it partners with a variety of stakeholders to address complex social issues, leveraging mutual strengths to implement effective initiatives.
